Ingredients

  • cherry tomatoes - 15 - 20 pcs. according to their size
  • onion - 1 small onion
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • hot peppers - 1/2 pc. or whole (depending on the spiciness)
  • parsley - fresh stalks
  • basil - a few leaves
  • balsamic vinegar - 1 tsp.
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp. extra virgin
  • brown sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • cumin - a pinch
  • black pepper
  • lime - juice of 1/2 lime
  • salt

How to make

Blend 15-20 pieces of cherry tomatoes, 1 small onion, 2 cloves garlic, half or a whole hot pepper (without the seeds), a few sprigs of fresh parsley and basil leaves in a blender.

Add 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, juice of half a lime (or 1-2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon), a teaspoon of brown sugar, a pinch of cumin and as much salt and black pepper as you desire.

Pour the sauce into a small jug or cup, which is suitable for serving.

Garnish with basil leaves.

Season the baked pizza with the salsa sauce you prepared.
