Ingredients

  • chicken livers - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • onions - 2 heads
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • tomato juice - 2 cups (500 ml), thick
  • chili sauce - 2/5 cup (100 ml), or use 2 crushed dried chili peppers
  • garlic - 8 crushed cloves
  • honey - 1 full tablespoon
  • salt - to taste
  • mushrooms - 6 oz (175 g)
  • marjoram - 1 pinch

How to make

Wash the livers and cut them coarsely if needed. Pour boiling water over them with 1 tablespoon of vinegar and after 6 minutes, drain them. Put them in a greased pan and add in all the products - the chopped onion, tomato sauce, oil, chili sauce, crushed garlic, honey, chopped mushrooms, and spices to taste.

Put the dish to bake in a heated 390°F (200 °C) oven for about 40 minutes. During baking, stir it well several times, and finally - let it brown.

Serve the chili chicken livers with mushrooms with fresh salad and be careful, because it turns out quite spicy.
