Biscuit cake is probably the easiest and most delicious homemade dessert. You can prepare it in so many ways - using available products, and if you want something special, you can always improvise.
Recipes for biscuit cakes are many – cream with milk, even with water, fruit for decoration. Do not forget the mandatory soaking of the biscuits with milk or compote.
The easiest cream to use is milky custard. To make this, you will need 4 1/5 cups of milk, 3 eggs, vanilla, 1 tea cup of sugar, 3 1/3 tbsp of butter.
Mix the eggs with the softened butter, then add vanilla and pour all of this in the warm milk. Leave it on the stove to thicken, but you must stir it constantly, so as not to burn. Then pour it on the pre-arranged and dipped in milk biscuits.
Then put a second layer of biscuits and cream again. Top it with chocolate sprinkles or slices of fruit.
It is very easy to buy confectionary cream and add it to the melted chocolate, or you can use liquid. Mix them, put finely crushed nuts or coconut flakes and pour them on the cookies. To avoid dryness, pre-soak them in instant coffee, but only for a second, because they will become soggy if soaked too long. Put a layer of biscuits, then a layer of cream until done.
Most people use ready starch powder, adding it to sugar and hot milk. You can make the cream this way, but you can also add 2 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of honey to the mix.
A cream made this way will be quite runny and it will not be necessary to dip the biscuits beforehand. If you use a mixture of starch or pudding, you can buy whatever you want - it is not mandatory for it to be vanilla.
Something a little different as a proposal, but also tasty, is to make pastry cream with confectionary cream and yoghurt. The cream has to be 1 1/5 cups and milk must be strained and about 2/3 cup.
Mix them well and add 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, beat with a mixer. Then put jam in - it can be whatever you like, our proposal is blueberry jam. Once the cream is blended well, begin to stack the cookies and cream.
And here's one tip, unrelated to the creams - if you want to make the cake not only tasty but also very interesting, buy two colors of biscuits - cocoa and milk, stack a layer of cocoa biscuits, then cream, then white biscuits, or use a checkerboard configuration.
Suitable for biscuit cakes are the classic butter cream, Bavarian cream and caramel cream.
