We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It fills us up with strength and energy throughout the day. But the sweetest and most enjoyable are Sunday breakfasts, because we have enough time to prepare different delicacies without having to hurry to work.
If you are a little tired of the standard dough balls, small pastries or our favorite traditional filo pastry pie, try to prepare the classics in a slightly different way.
Here are some delicious ideas for a Sunday breakfast!
Blueberry jam pancakes
Necessary products: 2 eggs, 2 cups of milk, about 2 cups of flour, a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar, blueberry jam, crushed walnuts
Preparation: Using a mixer, beat the eggs with the milk. Gradually start adding the flour until the mixture thickens. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar. If you want thick pancakes, add a little sparkling water and half a teaspoon of baking soda (or half a packet of baking powder).
Heat the pan (preferably Teflon) and with a ladle pour part of the mixture in it, which should be spread evenly. Once the pancake is ready, turn it on the other side. Once you have baked all of the pancakes, add the jam and sprinkle them with walnuts. As a little extra, you can garnish the delicious Sunday breakfast with a ball of ice cream.
Omelette with cheese and peppers
Necessary products: 1-2 green peppers, 1-2 red peppers, 5-6 eggs, 5 oz (150 grams) of cheese, a pinch of salt, 3 tbsp of milk.
Preparation: Cut the peppers into small pieces and stew them lightly. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk and a pinch of salt. Pour the mixture into a Teflon pan and bake it over medium heat until it slightly thickens. Turn the omelette over and sprinkle it evenly with the shredded cheese and chopped peppers. Bake it on both sides until it aquires a golden color. Garnish this quick Sunday breakfast with.
Bruschetta Sandwiches
Necessary products: baguette, tomato, red pepper, small carrot, fresh spring onion stalk, a few pieces of broccoli, cream cheese, 1.76 oz (50 grams) of grated yellow cheese.
Preparation: Cut the vegetables into small pieces and mix them together. The baguette should also be cut, but into slices and then smeared with a thin layer of cream cheese. Arrange the slices in a baking pan and spread the vegetables on them.
Put them in a preheated oven to bake (but only on top) until the vegetables have slightly softened. Then sprinkle them with grated cheese and put them in the oven for another 5 minutes - until the cheese melts. Serve the wonderful bruschettas while they are warm.
