What is instant coffee?

Instant coffee, is used by many people because it is very quick and easy to prepare. Instant coffee is an extract from the beans of the coffee tree. The coffee beans are processed and turned into granules and powder.

This is how it reaches the mass consumers, who easily prepare their favorite drink. Instant coffee is made by pouring a few spoons of it into a cup, then pouring hot water over it. It is mixed, sugar and milk are added as desired and it is absolutely ready to drink.

Some people prefer to dissolve their coffee in cold water, which makes it brew even faster. In Spain and Portugal, instant coffee is mixed with hot milk instead of hot water. If you want a stronger coffee, you need to put more coffee and if you want a weaker one - the opposite.

Instant coffee was invented way back in 1901 by a Japanese scientist working in Chicago, but it wasn't until 1906 that the first mass-produced instant coffee was made. After World War II, instant coffee gained widespread popularity and quickly spread beyond the United States.
