The benefits of coffee are painfully familiar to us from all sorts of campaigns to popularize it. Waking up more easily and having more energy are only a small part of them. But let's ask ourselves if every coffee that is available in stores is healthy.

A cup of freshly brewed coffee with milk is an ideal way to tone up. Its aroma stimulates a moderate release of serotonin - a hormone of happiness and an antidepressant. The result of moderate use is obvious - good mood and cheerfulness.

But what about instant coffee?

The content of its coffee beans is minimal - about 15%. The quality is often questionable, as most coffee bean producers sell the "bad" beans to instant coffee producers.

Drinking coffee

On the other hand, in the production of instant coffee, the robusta variety is used, not the quality Arabica. This way, costs are reduced by up to 10 times, while at the same time robusta contains much more caffeine - i.e. allows for less coffee to be added.

During the production of the coffee beans, they are subjected to frying and crushing to particles with a size of 1.5-2 mm. This is followed by a several-hour stay in hot water under a pressure of 15 atmospheres. The resulting extract is cooled, filtered and dried with hot air and finally cooled and turned into a powder.

Since there is only 15% coffee, the rest of the instant coffee is dyes and flavorings. On the other hand, the caffeine contained in it has nothing to do with that in fresh coffee.

Nescafe

Because it has gone through several stages of processing, caffeine in instant coffee is removed from the body in 10 hours and the energizing effect is stored for only 2-3 hours. From then on comes an overdose of caffeine, which is harmful to health.

3 in 1 packets

3 in 1 instant coffee is preferred by many people, because it has a weak effect and does not have the effect of real coffee. However, these properties of this "unexpectedly good combination" are due to the minimal caffeine content. It is mainly made of sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oil, instant coffee and milk protein.

The small packets of instant coffee also have a high content of harmful Es. Only 100 g of it contains 418 kcal, 1.7 g of proteins, 77.3 g carbohydrates and 12.8 g of fat.

The production of coffee in packages is the same as instant coffee, but at the end all the listed products are added to it. So it becomes very far from the real and aromatic coffee we know.
