Types of coffee

According to legend, coffee came to Europe in 1615 thanks to Venetian merchants who maintained active ties with the Middle East. Today, every third person in the world can hardly start their day without sipping the aromatic bitter liquid. Quite logically, the long history of coffee is also a prerequisite for the development of various preparation techniques. Here are the most common of them.

Espresso

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most common caffeinated drinks. Making a cup of espresso is a process that requires diligence and attention to detail. The most common type of coffee suitable for espresso is Robusta variety. For the preparation of quality espresso coffee, you usually need between 7 and 8 grams of ground coffee. Once you put the coffee in your coffee machine, it shouldn't take more than 25 to 30 seconds to brew.

Espresso

The rich, dark brown cream, called crema or foam, on the surface of a cup of coffee is the best indicator of properly brewed quality espresso. Many derivative mixed drinks such as cappuccino and latte macchiato have also been invented on the basis of espresso.

Schwartz

If with espresso the coffee is produced mainly by a small amount of steam and hot water passing through the packed finely ground coffee, then with Schwartz coffee this is not the case. A drip coffee machine or one with a filter is most often used for its preparation. The process of preparing it takes longer, because with Schwartz coffee, the boiling water passes through coarser ground coffee for a longer time and is filtered through the filter in the coffee machine.

Turkish coffee

It is one of the oldest ways of making coffee, being most popular in Arab countries, Turkey and the Balkans. Water and coffee are mixed in a cezve, sugar is added if desired (for traditional Turkish coffee, sugar is a must) and the mixture is brought to a boil, then immediately raised.

Instant coffee

The good thing about instant coffee is that you are ready with your favorite drink in seconds. But considering the fact that instant mixes are practically not coffee, but coffee extract that has been processed and dried, these drinks cannot give you the true taste and caffeine content of coffee beans.
