"Lentil stew by a French recipe - we have yet to find out whether you will like it more than the original recipe"

Ingredients

  • lentils - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • olive oil
  • onion - 1 onion
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • red peppers - 1 pc.
  • butter
  • salt - to taste
  • paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • garlic - 8 - 10 cloves
measures

How to make

The cleaned vegetables are finely chopped. Stew the chopped onion, carrot, red pepper and garlic cloves in olive oil until they soften.

A small spoonful of paprika is added, pour about 1 liter of water and leave it to boil.

The lentils are washed, added to the boiling vegetable mixture and when they swell, add more hot water to boil and this happens quickly in about 20-25 minutes.

Add salt to taste to the softened lentils.

Heat butter in a pan and add another 1 tsp. of paprika, stir briefly and pour it into the lentils.

When it boils, it's ready and the heat is turned off.

You can sprinkle the lentil stew with savory herb and serve it!

This French Lentil Stew is very tasty!
