How to make
The shank is placed in the baking pan.
The products for the marinade are mixed with a wire whisk and it is spread on all sides, rub the marinade into the shank.
Pour the remaining mixture into the baking pan. Cover it with aluminum foil and roast at 480°F (250°C) for 30 minutes.
Then reduce the oven to 360°F (180°C) and roast for another 2 hours. If necessary, a little more water can be added. After this time, remove the foil and roast for another 20 minutes, by periodically pouring it with the sauce from the pan, only with the fat that has been released during roasting.
Garnish - mashed potatoes or a garnish of choice.
The Pork Shank with Honey, Balsamic Vinegar and Coca-Cola is very tasty.
Note: I've looked at many of the recipes and all of them are great, but I chose this one from this blog, which I really like, which I can say is wonderful.
I had never added Coca-Cola when roasting meat. I though it was interesting, it intrigued me and it turned out very well. The meat has a wonderful aroma, lightly and pleasantly caramelized with a wonderful dark crispy crust.
