"A delicious recipe for pizza dough, that is passed from word of mouth. Thats how it reached us and we are in a hurry to share it with you!"

Ingredients

  • dry yeast - 1 packet (7 g)
  • warm water - about 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • flour - 10.5 oz (300 g) + for the worktop
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp.

How to make

The yeast, half of the warm water and sugar are mixed until the yeast dissolves. Leave it to rise on the side for about 15 minutes or until it looks like cream and is ready.

The sifted flour and salt are placed in a bowl, where a well is made in the middle and the yeast mixture, the remaining water and all of the other products from the pizza dough recipe are poured into it.

Stir with a wooden spoon until all the flour is absorbed. Sprinkle the worktop with flour and knead for 8-10 minutes. When the dough becomes hard and stops sticking, beat it on the worktop several times.

The dough should be smooth and elastic and air bubbles should be visible under its surface and it should be able to regain its shape if pressed with the palm of your hand.

Put the kneaded dough in a bowl greased with vegetable oil and cover it with a towel. Leave it to rise to the side until it doubles in volume twice.

To form the pizza, place it in the dough in a pizza pan and press it with your fingers and spread out to the side until it covers the whole pan.

Leave it for 10 minutes before adding the filling. To make calzone, shape the pizza into a circle. Spread the filling only in one half of the circle, by leaving a blank space along 1″ (2.5 cm) of the edge. Cover the filling with the other half and press the edges with your fingers to seal it.
