"You know the saying - there is nothing higher than Vitosha, there is nothing tastier than fried pork Bulgarian style"

Ingredients

  • pork - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • salo - 7 oz (200 g)
  • lard - 2 tbsp.
  • peppers - 5, pickled
  • red pepper - 1 tbsp.
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • water - 1/2 cup
measures

How to make

Cut the salo into small pieces and put it on the fire to melt.

Cut the pork into pieces and place it next to the already melted salo.

Fry until the meat turns white, then add the sliced pickled peppers.

Add 2 tablespoons lard, red and black pepper, and salt to taste.

Pour 1/2 cup warm water (if you wish you can use pickle juice) and cook until the meat is ready.

The water should evaporate and there should remain only fat and the meat needs to acquire a nice red tan. The time it takes for this to happen is about 1 hour. Great fried pork!
