Ingredients

  • lamb - 28.2 oz (800 g)
  • onions - 1 onion
  • eggs - 1 egg
  • oil - 2 tsp cooking oil
  • flour - 2 tbsp
  • thyme - 1 tsp dried thyme
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • for the sauce
  • eggs - 2 eggs
  • yogurt - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • dill - 1 - 2 sprigs fresh dill
  • black pepper
  • salt

How to make

Very finely chop the lamb meat. Finely chop the onion and saute for 1-2 minutes in oil. Mix In a deep bowl the chopped lamb, stewed onions /removed from the oil with a slotted spoon/, egg and spices.

Shape 12-14 meatballs. Roll them in flour and fry them in the oil from the onion briefly - over high heat on both sides. Arrange the semi-done meatballs in a greased baking pan.

Pour over the sauce, which is obtained by simply mix eggs, yogurt and spices. Bake 15-20 minutes in a strong oven 430°F (220°C).
