Sterilized Gherkins

Despite the fact that we can now find everything in stores, some people are used to making their own winter pickles. Besides, nothing can compare to homemade pickles. Pickles are a must-have on winter evenings and are a perfect salad for alcohol.

No boil pickles

Ingredients needed:

Gherkins, Vinegar, Aspirin, Dill, 1 tbsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar, Water

How to prepare:

The washed gherkins are placed in a compote jar, where vinegar has been poured in advance - up to the bottom rim of the jar and 2 aspirin tablets have been added. You can add dill between the gherkins. After filling the jar, add the salt and sugar and top up with water. Seal the jar with a lid and leave the pickles in the shade for a week.

Pickles in a bottle

Required products:

Gherkins, Dill, Garlic, Onion, Black pepper, Salt, Water

How to prepare:

You need a plastic bottle with a wider opening so that you can put the gherkins inside. Arrange the pre-washed gherkins, and between the gherkins you can add dill, garlic cloves, a piece of onion, black peppercorns or chili pepper. Keep in mind that chili pepper can make the gherkins very spicy. After filling the bottle, fill it to the brim with water and add salt - the amount is 1 liter of water - 1 tablespoon of salt. Close the bottle and leave it in a shaded place for about a week. It is important to shake the bottle every day.
