Diced potatoes
This method is most often used in salads and potato soups and is also ideal for stewing.
Potato strips
This is the most preferred way by hosts and chefs. This method is ideal for frying, as they cook evenly and they look aesthetically beautiful.
The potatoes are cut into strips and should be washed very thoroughly just before frying to remove any starch. Sliced potatoes circles
This method is much less used. It is also extremely simple and is used for both frying and baking.
The potatoes are sliced into circles, washed and fried in a pan. Depending on what you choose, they can be put in a lot of oil or less. If you choose the second way to fry them, be careful when turning the potatoes, so they do not lose their original shape.
The advice you need to remember is that when frying in a lot of oil, the potatoes need to be stirred once they form a crispy skin and the total number of times you stir them should not exceed 4-5 times. Otherwise, they crumble and mash.
