Sponge cake is a type of pastry dessert, more precisely a cake. It is a favorite of many people and can be combined with yogurt or milk, and the combination of the two becomes fantastic.
A sponge cake usually consists of:
- eggs
- milk or yogurt
- cocoa
- flour
- sugar
- a little oil
- vanilla
- nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
All ingredients are mixed, poured into a baking pan or sponge cake mold, previously greased and floured, and put in the oven to bake. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or chocolate.
And here's how to remove the sponge cake from the pan.
Basically, if you put it in a pan that has been greased and floured in advance so that it doesn't stick, taking it out will be easy.
When you need to turn it, there is an easy way.
The time to flip the sponge cake is after it is baked and it has slightly cooled. If you try to flip a sponge cake that has just been taken out of the oven, there is a high chance that it will break and stick to the pan. So first wait for 10 minutes for the sponge cake to cool down and then flip it.
Use a kitchen board or plate, which you place on top of the sponge cake pan. Holding both parts - board to the pan, gently shake the pan with the sponge cake and turn it over onto the board, the plate - the sponge cake should come out and fit comfortably on the board.
And, voila - your sponge cake is flipped over and ready to be covered with icing, melted chocolate, powdered sugar or spread with jam.
