Why is the dough not rising ? This question is not only asked by novice hosts with no experience in the kitchen, but also by experienced chefs who have more than once or twice made fluffy bread with yogurt and are looking for the reason it all went wrong.

Sometimes, your mistake might not be in the kneading, but the dough still does not rise. This may be due to the fact that some of the products you have used are of poor quality or out of date.

It is very important to look at the expiration date of baker's yeast and when it was produced. Therising of your dough depends on it the most.

Another important ingredient without which the dough does not rise is sugar. But unfortunately there is sugar that does not sweeten much and can hardly make your dough rise due to that fact.

Don't make the mistake of adding salt in warm milk or cold water where yeast needs to activate. When activating the yeast there should only about 100 ml of warm milk or water, 1 or 2 tbsp. of sugar, about 2 tbsp. of flour and crushed fresh baker's yeast or if you're using dried yeast, but never salt.

Add salt to the sifted flour. The flour must also be of good quality and not moist, always pass it through a sieve at least once.

When everything is done and the dough is kneaded, grease it with oil and cover with cling film or a towel and leave it in a warm place to rise.

If you do not have a warm room, heat water in a saucepan and place the bowl on top. This method is very good for helping the dough rise, but make sure that the bottom of the bowl is not too hot. Under these circumstances, there is no way that the dough does not rise .
