The octopus is a delicacy, which you can also prepare at home and this will surely impress the guests invited to your dinner.
The good news is that cooking octopus at home is much easier than you think.
Before frying the octopus for a faster and easier method of cooking, boil your octopus in a large pot.
Fill 2/3 of the pot with either vegetable broth or water (full of herbs and vegetables of your choice), which help to flavor the meat.
Once the broth or water with the vegetables and herbs has boiled, add the pre-chopped octopus in the pot and cover it with a lid.
Carefully boil the octopus for about 15-20 minutes, testing its flesh with a fork every 10-15 minutes, until it is completely soft and ready to eat.
Then fry the pre-cooked octopus briefly in a pan.
Add the sliced and boiled octopus in a greased pan with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar / honey and caramelize it for about 8 minutes, by turning the meat on each side to fry and get a perfect finish.
You can add yellow onions, soy sauce, garlic, fresh lime juice, white wine and more for a more spicy taste.
More good combinations with octopus:
