How to make
For the meatballs, add chopped onion and garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper and milk to the minced meat.
Knead well and form meatballs, which are fried in heated olive oil until nicely browned on all sides for approximately 7-8 minutes.
Heat the fat for the delicious stew in a pot, add the chopped onion and fry for a few minutes until soft.
Add the chopped garlic, cayenne pepper and smoked paprika.
As soon as the spices release their aroma, add the lentils, 13.5 fl oz (400 ml) of water and the tomato puree.
Cook for 10 minutes, sprinkle with salt, add the prepared meatballs and the lentil stew is cooked for another 10 minutes.
Finally, turmeric and spinach are added and our red lentil stew with meatballs is ready.
