You should not wash the field mushrooms, because they will retain a lot of water and then instead of being baked, they will be boiled.
Peel them and cut off the top of the stump.
Put the cleaned mushrooms in a baking tray. Sprinkle them with salt and cut the butter into pieces on them.
Heat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and bake the mushrooms, until they're done. During baking, you can turn them over, so that they cook evenly on both sides.
