"Treat yourself with something sweet with our two-color gluten-free sponge cake"

Ingredients

  • gluten - free flour - 2 cups
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • carbonated drink - 1 cup (of choice)
  • sour cream - 2 tbsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • vanilla - 2 drops (liquid)
  • lemon peel - 1/2 tsp. (grated)
  • citrus essence - 2 drops
  • cocoa - 2 tbsp.
  • powdered sugar - for sprinkling

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar into a fluffy cream. Add the carbonated drink, baking powder, oil, vanilla, citrus essence, lemon peel, cream and mix.

Pour the flour and mix, until a homogenous mixture is obtained.

Separate 4 tbsp. from the mixture and mix with the cocoa.

Grease a sponge cake tin and pour half of the white mixture. Distribute the brown mixture over it with a spoon and cover it with the remaining white mixture.

Bake the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 40 minutes.

Leave the baked sponge cake to cool slightly and turn it over onto a plate.

Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar.
