How to make

Beat the eggs well. Add the sugar to them and continue to beat, until a fluffy cream is obtained. Add the cream, oil and finally the sifted flour, starch and baking powder.

Mix with a wire whisk. Divide the mixture into two. Add the cocoa to one.

In a mold lined with baking paper, pour the brown mixture first, then the white mixture on top.

Arrange the apricot halves and bake in an oven at 360°F (180°C) for 35-40 minutes (or until it is fully baked).

Take the fruit cake out of the oven and while still warm, spread the jam (diluted with a little water) over it.

Leave it to cool and if desired, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar (I didn't have any and sprinkled it with colored sugar).

The two-color sponge cake with apricots is ready.
