How to make
Grate the zucchini with a coarse grater. If it has a soft core with seeds, it is best to carve it or use two smaller and younger zucchini.
Add salt without overdoing it and leave it to drain for 10-15 minutes to release its juice and then squeezing the liquid as much as possible.
Beat the egg and mix it with the zucchini. Instead of one big one, you can add two smaller eggs.
Spread the mixture into a thin round base into a baking pan covered with baking paper and place it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. Bake, until the pizza base is firm and it has browned.
Cut the ham into small, thin pieces and drain the mozzarella from the brine and cut it into circles.
Remove the baked base, spread it with tomato sauce (optionally flavored with a pinch of dried basil). Spread the ham and mozzarella and put it back into the oven briefly, until the cheese melts.
Serve the low-carb pizza with zucchini base warm and garnished with fresh aromatic basil leaves. Wonderful pizza!
