  • cheddar - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • flour - 7.8 oz (220 g)
  • butter - 3.9 oz (110 g) at room temperature
  • yogurt - 4.6 oz (130 g) thick, full fat
  • baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • cumin - about 2 tbsp. (seeds)

How to make

Grate the cheddar and mix it with the softened butter. Sift the flour into a separate bowl and flavor it with a few crushed cumin seeds.

You can also add a little salt, but keep in mind that the cheese is salty.

Mix the flour with the cheddar, add the yogurt with the baking soda mixed in it.

Knead a smooth dough and if necessary, add a little more flour. If the dough is too hard, add more butter or a spoonful of milk.

Tear off small balls and flatten them between your palms to form the savory cookies. Arrange them in a baking tray (you will need 2 trays).

Sprinkle them with cumin seeds and bake the delicious cookies in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 15-18 minutes. Serve them chilled in the company of various spreads or dips.
