Ingredients

  • red lentils - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • green hot peppers - 1 pc.
  • oil - 4 tbsp.
  • fresh ginger - 1 oz (30 g)
  • smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
  • dried coriander - 1/2 tsp.
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp.
  • onion - 1 onion
  • canned tomatoes - 1 cup (grinded)
  • coriander - or parsley
  • lemon juice - from 1 lemon
  • curry - 1 tsp.
  • salt

How to make

Finely chop the peeled garlic, onion and hot pepper.

Heat the oil in a pot and fry the vegetables. When they soften, add the coriander, cumin, smoked paprika and grated ginger. Stir briefly and add the grinded tomatoes.

When the mixture boils, add the red lentils and pour warm water. Add salt and boil the lentil soup until it's fully cooked.

Finally, add the chopped parsley and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

When the soup has cooled, strain it. Distribute it into bowls, sprinkle it with black pepper and fresh parsley.
