Ingredients

  • mince - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • peppers - 1 red + 1 green
  • chili peppers - 1
  • onions - 1 head
  • garlic - 5 - 6 cloves
  • beans - 9 oz (250 g) red, or a mixture of several types of beans
  • corn - 1/2 cup (125 g) canned, drained
  • tomato sauce - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • red wine - 1/5 cup (60 ml)
  • salt
  • black pepper - to taste
  • curry - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin - about 1 teaspoon
  • chili - 1/2 tsp, powdered, optional, or to taste

How to make

Chop the onion, garlic and peppers finely and fry them in a deep dish. Add the mince, cumin and stir until they fry as well, then add the beans and tomato sauce.

Pour in the wine and a little hot water and stew it under a lid for about 15 minutes. Optionally, add tabasco sauce. Add the corn, then sauté for another 5 minutes or until the beans are softened.

Finally, remove the cooked chili con carne from the heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
