Ingredients

  • pangasius - 2 lb (1 kg) fillet
  • garlic - 5 cloves
  • onions - 1 head
  • tomatoes - 28 oz (800 g) canned and peeled
  • olive oil - 1/5 cup (60 ml)
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • white pepper
  • nutmeg
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • flour - for rolling the fish
  • sugar - 1 pinch

How to make

Cut the pangasius fillet coarsely and season with a bit of every spice. For the tomato sauce, fry the onion and crushed garlic and add canned tomatoes. Simmer until they are dissolved well, you can optionally add 1 bay leaf.

Preheat a little oil and fry the pangasius pieces that you've rolled in a little flour or breadcrumbs. When ready, put them in the oven dish and add the seasoned tomato sauce with spices.

Bake the dish until ready in a preheated 370°F (190 °C) oven. Serve slightly cooled with fresh sliced tomato for decoration.
