Ingredients

  • dried chickpeas - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • onion - 1 onion
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • chopped parsley - 2 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 tbsp.
  • black pepper - 1 tsp.
  • cumin - 1 tsp.
  • coriander - 1 pinch
  • soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • flour - 3 tbsp. (corn or chickpea flour)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • oil - for frying

How to make

Soak the washed chickpeas in warm water and leave them covered for 12 hours. Strain and blend them.

Blend the peeled onions and garlic. In a deep bowl, mix the chickpea puree, vegetables, eggs, flour and spices and mix everything very well.

Form patties and fry them in hot oil until they're fried on both sides.

You can also place them in a muffin tin, by dipping them in oil first and then baking them in the oven for 30 minutes.
