Ingredients

  • boiled chickpeas - 14 oz (400 g)
  • fresh spinach - 7 oz (200 g)
  • eggs - 1 small egg
  • breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp.
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • black pepper - a pinch
  • parsley - a pinch
  • dill - a pinch
  • olive oil
  • corn flour

How to make

Strain the boiled chickpeas until a smooth mixture is obtained. Finely chop the spinach.

Put it in a pan with heated olive oil, salt and add a chopped clove of garlic.

Stir, cover the dish and stew it for 3-4 minutes.

To the mashed chickpeas add the stewed spinach, 1 small egg, 3-4 tbsp. of breadcrumbs, a pinch of parsley, a pinch of dill and black pepper.

Stir the resulting mixture well. You can add your favorite spices in addition to the listed ones.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Grease it lightly.

Take a spoonful of the mixture and roll it in corn flour.

Form chickpea patties and arrange them in the tray.

Coat the patties with olive oil. Bake them at 430°F (220°C) in a preheated oven with a fan until they're nicely browned.

Serve the chickpea and spinach patties with yogurt seasoned with garlic and dill.
