Ingredients

  • water - 2 1/2 cups (600 ml)
  • vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • oil - 4 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2
  • flour - about 2 lb (1 kg)

  • sugar - 1 tsp

How to make

To prepare the dough, mix the water, oil, vinegar, salt and eggs in a bowl. Gradually add flour and knead a smooth dough. Divide the dough into balls and let it rest for about 20 minutes. Roll out each ball with a rolling pin first, then stretch it with your hands until you get the thinnest possible sheet.

Each stretched out pastry sheet is greased and sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese, mixed with eggs. Roll each one up and arrange it in a snail shape in a greased tray. Coat the top well with oil and place it in a moderately heated oven to bake for 30-40 minutes.

Prepare the topping by boiling the water with the oil on the stove with salt or sugar if desired. Top the hot finished pie with the hot topping and return it to the oven for about 10 minutes. The finished pie is brewed by covering with a towel.
