How to make
Rub the pork ribs with the spices - black pepper, rosemary and thyme. You can cut them into individual ribs or leave the rack of ribs whole.
Heat the water on the stove and without waiting for it to boil, dissolve the honey and the cube of broth in it. Stir and remove it from heat.
Mix the ketchup with the barbecue sauce. Squeeze out the orange juice and add it. Drizzle the ribs with the hot honey mixture, then generously spread the ketchup on them (you can also add as much of this sauce). Wait for them to cool down completely and leave them in the refrigerator overnight.
Before cooking the ribs, take them out of the refrigerator and leave them out for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. Bake in a preheated 390°F (200 degree) oven for 1 hour, wrap the pan in aluminum foil, then reduce the heat to 360°F (180 degrees) for another hour or so and add water or freshly squeezed orange juice, if necessary. Finally, you can remove the foil, so they can crisp up.
Serve the cooked honey and ketchup ribs warm with a garnish of french fries.
