How to make
Oven - 390°F (200 degrees); Flat tray lined with baking paper.
The baguette slices are cut at a high diagonal. Brush both sides with olive oil. Arrange on the tray and bake on high heat for exactly 6 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the tomatoes and cut them into cubes, place in a bowl. Add crushed garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and chopped basil. Mix them.
Remove the slices of bread from the oven and, while still hot, rub with the cut garlic half on top. Place the tomato mixture on top with a tablespoon.
Bruschettas can be prepared on their own for a light dinner or as an addition to pasta.
Note: My baguette was warm and difficult to cut, so the slices are a little thicker.
In general, bruschettas are not made with stale bread, it should be fresh, but a leftover from the day before, then it is drier and will bake better, also do not cut into thin slices, because they will burn quickly, let them be about 40°F (2 cm) thick.
