home made pate

Homemade food is good for many reasons. What we will point out is that when made at home, one is sure of what products are used, when it is made and how long it will lat. We can prepare everything at home - including pates.

They can be made from meat, vegetables, and even fish. Suitable for sandwiches, or biscuits that you enjoy snacking with in front of the TV at night. Furthermore, they can save the day if you didn't have enough time to cook a meal.

Our first proposal is pate from tuna and chickpeas. This turns out very tasty and flavorful. To prepare it you need:

pates

Tuna pate with dill

Ingredients: 1 canned tuna, chickpeas, salt, dill, black pepper

Preparation: Put everything in a blender and blend. If it's too dry and the blender does not make it uniform, add a few tablespoons of olive oil.

Our next suggestion is vegetable pate with mayonnaise and broccoli.

Perhaps you may think it odd and not very tasty, but using the products that you will put in, the aromas will blend nicely and you will surely love it.

Broccoli pate with cottage cheese

home made pate

Products Required: 1 lb (0.5 kg) broccoli, 7 oz (200 g) feta cheese or cottage cheese, 2-3 tablespoons plain mayonnaise, 3-4 cloves of garlic, 8-10 walnuts, salt to taste and a little black pepper.

Preparation: First boil the broccoli until ready and leave it to drain. Then mix all of the products and start mashing together in a blender until they are a homogeneous mixture. The pate is ready.

Mushroom pate

Ingredients: 5.5 oz (150 g) of mushrooms, 2/3 cup (150 g) sour cream, 1/2 cup feta cheese, half a cube of butter, 1/2 bunch of dill, black pepper and salt

pate

Preparation: Wash the mushrooms well, then cut them in very fine pieces and stew with the butter. Then add the feta cheese, when melted, remove from the heat. Allow to cool slightly and add the sour cream, spices and chopped dill.

Chicken liver pate

Ingredients: 17.5 oz (500 g) chicken livers, 1 head of onion, 1-2 carrots, black peppercorns, ground black pepper, salt, nutmeg, 2-3 tbsp yoghurt, 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation: First peel the onion, cut it in four and put in a saucepan. Add the washed and chopped carrots, and pre-washed livers, then the peppercorns.

Boil well and leave to drain and cool. You should remove the outer membranes from the livers and add the livers to the blender with spices and other products. If necessary, add a little oil or olive oil in order to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
