Homemade Sour Cream

Nowadays, one can get a variety of products from almost any major store and sour cream is usually sold everywhere. However, it is among the risky products, as it spoils quite quickly, if not stored properly.

In addition, the same is true for it, as it is for most of the things we buy from the stores, which is - we do not know what it really contains and how much its content is good for our health.

That's why it's good to learn how to make homemade sour cream yourself, especially if you know where you can get homemade milk. Remember, however, that you should also buy them from reliable sources. A tried and tested recipe for making sour cream is the following:

Sour cream from homemade milk

Necessary products: 5 liters of milk, 2 tablespoons of yogurt.

Preparation: Boil the milk and leave it for about 7 minutes, then turn off the heat. During the boiling process, you will see that cream will form on the surface, which you need to quickly scoop with a spoon and put in a separate container. This continues, until you are able to scrape off the whole cream and if necessary, you can heat up the milk again.

Then ferment the separated cream with the yoghurt, stir lightly and leave the bowl of semi-finished cream covered with a towel for 5 hours. It is important that the mixture is in a warm place. After the necessary time has passed, you will have ready-made sour cream.

Here is an even easier option, which again uses a purchased and not a homemade product.

Whipping Cream

Sour cream made from liquid cream and lemon juice
