Ingredients

  • beans - 1 4/5 cups (450 g)
  • olive oil - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • tomato paste - 2 - 3 tbsp
  • onions - 2 heads
  • celery - 1 piece, root
  • paprika - 1 tbsp
  • brandy - 3 tbsp
  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • chili peppers - optional

How to make

Boil the beans the standard way and rinse them.

In a clay pot or several smaller clay containers, distribute the beans, olive oil, tomato paste, finely chopped onions and celery and ample amounts of paprika, black pepper, salt, a little sugar and brandy.

Stir, top off with a little water and put the beans to bake for just over an hour in a high oven. For an even better taste, add a chili pepper.
