Ingredients

  • flour - 1 1/3 cups
  • margarine - 4 tbsp
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • sugar - 1 pinch
  • baking soda - 1/3 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/3 packet
  • feta cheese - 4 oz (120 g)
  • cheese - 6 small pieces, for the top
  • eggs - 1
  • yoghurt - 1/2 cup

How to make

Beat the egg with a pinch of sugar and pinch of salt. Add the margarine.

Pour the baking soda in the yoghurt. Crumble the feta cheese. Sift the flour and add the baking powder. Stir everything well. Grease the muffin forms well and pour a bit of flour in them.

Cut 6 small pieces of cheese to about the diameter of the muffin cups. Pour the mixture in with a spoon because it's quite thick. Distribute it evenly and even it out with the spoon.

Put a thin slice of cheese on top in each. Don't be worried if the mixture is thick - they come out soft, fluffy and very tasty.

Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven. Eat while still warm, with ayran or compote.
