Ingredients

  • red lentils - 1 cup
  • bulgur - 1/2 cup
  • water - 7 cups
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • spearmint - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • onions - 1 head

How to make

Heat the olive oil in a pot and fry the onions until golden.

Add the bulgur, lentils, tomato paste, salt and cayenne pepper.

Pour in the water and boil on medium heat until the bulgur and lentils soften.

Sprinkle the soup with the spearmint and paprika and serve.
