How to make
The chicken steaks are seasoned with salt, garlic powder and dried thyme. Leave them to cool for half an hour.
Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan. Sear each chicken steak on both sides.
Transfer the fried meat to a tray and add the mushrooms and onions (cut into slices) it its place. Season with salt and a little thyme. When they soften, pour the white wine. After the alcohol has evaporated, pour the mushrooms and onions over the steaks.
The chicken steaks with onions and mushrooms are placed in the oven and baked at 200°C for 30 minutes. Shortly before they are done, add grated cheese on top of the meat and return the dish into the oven to finish baking.
Serve the chicken steaks with a glass of quality white wine.
