"Serve chorizo and dried tomato savory biscuits with cheese dip or simply on a platter with fruit and nuts."

Ingredients

  • flour - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • butter - 2.8 oz (80 g)
  • chorizo - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • dried tomatoes - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • parmesan - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • dried basil - 1/2 tsp.
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to make

In a large bowl, mix the flour, parmesan, baking powder, salt and black pepper.

Add the butter (cold, cut into small cubes). Stir, rub between your fingers until crumbs are obtained.

Then add all the other ingredients such as chorizo and the tomatoes that you have previously finely chopped.

Stir until the dough becomes smooth. If it is too sticky, add more flour.

Form small balls and arrange them on a tray, onto baking paper. Flatten them with your palm.

Bake the savory biscuits in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C), for about 12 minutes. They should be slightly browned at the edges.

Leave them to cool on a wire rack.

I made 48 savory biscuits with chorizo and dried tomatoes for 2 trays.
