How to make
Rub the leg of lamb well with salt, ground black pepper, paprika and melted butter. Optionally, spike it with halved garlic cloves.
Put it in a greased oven dish with sprigs of lovage, allspice, 2 bay leaves, add a glass of wine and put it to bake for about 2 hours covered with foil. Then add the cleaned, chopped, and mixed with spices potatoes to the oven dish.
If you are using fresh potatoes - put them in whole. Add some water and return it to bake without foil until the potatoes soften.
Optionally, add fresh rosemary for extra flavor.
