"Simple and tasty rice with onions for all who love a classic!"

Ingredients

  • rice - 2 cups, brown or white
  • onions - 1 head and 2 sprigs fresh
  • dill - a few sprigs of fresh
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • caraway - 1/2 tsp, optional
  • oil - 1/5 cup (65 ml)

How to make

Soak the rice for a few hours in water, then drain it. Chop the onions and fry them in hot oil. Add the rice and stir until it fries as well. Add 2 cups of hot water and allow the rice to absorb the liquid, stirring occasionally.

Add the same amount of hot water in 2 lots. Once the rice is tender, season it with salt, black pepper and chopped dill. Remove it from the heat and close, in order for the rice to absorb the liquid completely.

Pour it into bowls, and when serving, invert the bowls onto plates.
