"Aromatic rice with mushrooms, which is suitable for fasting"

Ingredients

  • rice - 1 cup
  • chinese mushrooms - 9 oz (250 g) from a jar
  • turmeric - 1 tbsp.
  • oil - 2 tbsp.
  • garlic - 3 - 4 cloves
  • white wine - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • savory herb - by taste
  • salt - by taste

How to make

Wash the rice and put it in a pot of boiling salted water. When it is almost cooked, take it out. Grease a baking pan with oil and add the rice.

Add the turmeric and mix everything well. Wash the mushrooms and cut them into pieces. Add them to the rice.

Peel and finely chop the garlic and add it. Add as much salt and savory herb as you like.

Pour a cup of water, add the white wine and mix everything well. If desired, you can add green spices.

Bake the dish in the oven at 360°F (180°C), until the water evaporates. Serve the oven-baked rice warm.

The dish can also be used as a side dish to a main course.
