Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla with a mixer until you get a smooth cream. Add the eggs while beating continuously until you get a creamy mixture.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and add it to the remaining mixture, alternating it with the milk. Let the mixture for the wafers rest for 20 minutes. Then, with a special wafer machine, bake the chocolate wafers.
Garnish them with ice cream, melted with a few tablespoons of water, chocolate, or jam of your choice.
