How to make
For the layer, beat the softened butter and the sugar, add the eggs one at a time, and then the sifted with baking powder and baking soda flour.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold and bake it at 360°F (180 °C) until ready. Let the finished cake layer cool completely and cut into 2 separate ones.
Beat the flour with the milk and sugar and boil the cream on the stove, constantly stirring, until thickened. Allow the cream to cool and begin adding it spoon by spoon to the butter, already beaten into cream, until you get a homogeneous cream mixture.
Finally, flavour it with the vanilla. Optionally, you can lightly syrup the layers. Stick the layers together with the cream, and if you have any left over, smear the cake with it on top.
Sprinkle it with grated wafers and place it in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.
