How to make
The dried apples are washed well and soaked for about an hour or two in two liters of cold water.
Then they are put on the stove and cooked at a moderate temperature for about half an hour.
The fruits are boiled until soft, without boiling. A little honey or sugar is added shortly before readiness (the amount is to taste).
If desired, a cinnamon stick can be added during cooking for aroma, but it must be removed immediately after the pot is removed from the heat, because its aroma is too strong.
The oshav is placed in the refrigerator to cool.
Serve the dried apple oshav chilled.
