Ingredients

  • flour - 7.4 oz (210 g)
  • cottage cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp.
  • milk - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • salt - 3 pinches
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. + for rolling
  • blueberry jam - to taste
  • oil - for frying

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar and salt. Add the milk and cottage cheese and mix well.

Sift the flour with the baking powder and add it in parts until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture should have a thicker consistency than cake batter and it should come away slightly around the edges of the vessel. If necessary, pour a little more flour until such a thickness is achieved.

Heat the oil and proceed in the following way: Wet your hand and use it to take as much of the mixture as will fit in your closed palm. Form a ball and poke it in the middle with your thumb to make a hole. Immediately drop it into the heated oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Remove the buñuelos and place them on absorbent paper and roll or sprinkle them with granulated sugar.

Serve the donuts warm, garnished with blueberry jam.
