"These chocolate spelt biscuits are a real crunchy delight that you can eat for several days, of course if there are any left over"

Ingredients

  • whole grain flour - 1 cup /spelt or wheat/
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • honey - 1.4 oz (40 g) liquid
  • chocolate - 1.8 oz (50 g) over 36% cocoa
  • oil - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • oranges - 1 pc. the peel /4 strips, the orange part/
  • salt - 1 pinch
measures

How to make

The first step in making homemade honey biscuits is to beat the egg. Add a pinch of salt, oil and honey. Mix the mixture well.

Place the orange peels in a blender along with the flour. Run on high speed for about 20 seconds. This will make the flour more aromatic and fine.

Prepare the chocolate by cutting it into small pieces.

Add the baking powder to the already grinded and flavored flour and mix. Once done, add the wet ingredients. Knead a smooth pastry dough.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 3-4 mm thick crust. Get a mold and cut out the base of the spelt biscuits. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

The whole grain biscuits are baked for about 20 minutes at 320°F (160°C) in a preheated oven. They should acquire a light golden brown color.

Once they are ready, arrange the honey biscuits with spelt and chocolate on a wire rack to cool. Then you can store them in a jar or biscuit box.

Enjoy!
