How to make
Grind the dry bread in a blender into fine crumbs.
Grate the cheese into a bowl and mix it with 20 grams of the homemade breadcrumbs.
In another container, grate the Gouda cheese and mix it with the remaining 1.8 oz (50 g) of the ground dry bread.
Heat the olive oil and butter in a deep pan or saucepan. Pour the flour and stir until lightly browned, then slowly pour in the milk, by beating constantly.
After your flour has dissolved perfectly, pour the cream, water, as much salt as you like, black pepper and nutmeg.
Mix well and add the macaroni.
Boil for 10-12 minutes on moderate heat, then add the cheese and mustard. Stir.
During this time, turn on the oven to heat up to 390°F (200°C). Transfer the macaroni and sauce into a baking dish and sprinkle with the Gouda mixed with the crunchy bread.
Place the macaroni and cheese in the oven and bake until the crust is golden brown (about 10-15 minutes).
Serve the gorgeous oven-baked macaroni with cheese, cream and mustard warm.
Enjoy your meal!
