How to make
Clean the scad and wash it thoroughly under cold running water.
Arrange the fish in a baking pan or a baking dish and sprinkle them inside and out with black pepper and salt.
Drizzle a spoonful of oil into each of the fish.
Pour 1 finger of water into the baking pan. Cover the baking pan with foil or if it is a glass baking dish - put the lid on it.
Bake the fish for about 1 hour in an oven preheated to 360°F (180°C).
Remove the foil and bake the fish for another 10-15 minutes.
You can also prepare sardines in the same way.
The juicy oven-baked scad is ready.
