"Nothing can compare to the aroma of freshly baked homemade bread, with a light hint of rosemary and a crispy crust"

Ingredients

  • water - 2 1/2 cups (600 ml)
  • olive oil - 1/3 cup (80 ml)
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • garlic - 4 cloves (finely chopped)
  • sugar - 3 tbsp.
  • fresh yeast - 1.8 oz (50 g) or 1 cube
  • rosemary - 1 tbsp. or more (optional)
measures

How to make

The yeast is activated with a little warm water and the sugar and the flour is sifted with the salt. Add the finely chopped garlic cloves and the rosemary.

A soft dough is kneaded from the products and if it is too sticky, a little more flour can be added to knead it further.

The dough is left to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. The bread loaves are shaped, transferred onto a suitable tray and left to rise for another 15 minutes.

The homemade bread is baked in an oven preheated to 360°F (180°C) for 30-40 minutes and a small container of water is placed in the lower part of the oven to form steam.

This helps it aquire a crispy crust on top.

The homemade garlic and rosemary bread is ready.
