"When the occasion is special, the drink should be as well! Try this drink for the most special moments"

Ingredients

  • pomegranate - 0.9 lb (400 g) or 2 pcs.
  • champagne - 1 2/3 cups (400 ml)
  • ice - 1.8 lb (800 g)
  • lemon - 1 pc.
  • grenadine - 0.7 oz (20 g)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
measures

How to make

Peel and clean the pomegranates. The grains must remain clean from the yellow skins, that surround them.

Peel a few thin peels from the lemon and save them. Peel the remaining citrus, by removing the peel with the white parts. Cut them into quarters and if there are seeds, remove them as well.

Place the pomegranate grains, lemon pieces, grenadine and sugar in a blender and blend on medium speed for about 30 seconds. Strain through a fine sieve.

Add the ice and if the cubes are large, crush them a little in advance, so that you don't make it difficult for the appliance, if it is not very powerful. You can do this by putting it in a bag and running a bottle over it a few times with pressure. Another option is to hit the bag on the floor without using much force, so that it doesn't tear.

Pour the strained Pomegranate Cocktail and Champagne over ice. Run the blender again on medium or higher speed for a few seconds to make a fine fruity sorbet.

Pour the sorbet immediately into glasses and garnish it with the lemon peels. Serve the Pomegranate Champagne Sorbet right now to finish off your festive dinner or lunch.

Cheers!
